a health insurance plan designed specifically for children, providing in-patient (IPD) hospitalization coverage

when your child needs to be admitted to the hospital.

This plan helps ease medical expenses and gives parents peace of mind,

knowing that their child is well protected when it matters most.

knowing that you will never have to face those moments with emotional worry alone.

Specially designed for children aged 15 days to 10 years, with four coverage plans available for selection

Offers two deductible options per policy year: THB 10,000 or THB 30,000

Renewable up to 98 years of age, with coverage continuing until age 99

When the child reaches 11 years old or above, coverage continues automatically, and the deductible option will be converted to full benefit coverage

In the event of a critical illness, the sum assured will be doubled and coverage will continue for up to four consecutive policy years (Double CI)

Out-patient (OPD) benefits are included for the 25-million-Baht plan only

Additional Terms and Coverage Explanation

  • Benefits under Categories 1 through 13, together with Out-Patient (OPD) medical expenses (if any), when aggregated, must not exceed the maximum benefits per policy year.
  • Day surgery refers to a major surgery, a surgical procedure performed in place of a major surgery, or the use of specialized medical treatment equipment that can replace a major surgery, without requiring an overnight hospital stay.
  • Minor surgery refers to a surgical procedure at the cutaneous, subcutaneous, or epithelial tissue level, performed under local or topical anesthesia.

Critical Illness Coverage

While the rider is in force, if the insured is diagnosed and confirmed with a covered critical illness for the first time after the waiting period, the Company will increase the maximum benefits per policy year to double the sum assured under this rider in the policy year in which the insured receives treatment for the critical illness.

Such doubled benefits will continue for another three consecutive policy years.

The first policy year in which the Company increases the maximum benefits shall be the policy year in which any one of the following events occurs first:


  1. The insured is hospitalized due to critical illness for the first time; or
  2. The insured undergoes day surgery due to critical illness for the first time; or
  3. The insured undergoes tissue biopsy for examination for the first time and the biopsy results confirm the diagnosis of critical illness.
  • The applicant has the duty to provide true and complete information when applying for insurance. Any concealment or false declaration may result in cancellation of the policy or refusal to pay claims.
  • Applicants are advised to carefully review the benefit illustrations before making a decision to purchase the insurance. After receiving the policy, please study the policy wording, terms, and conditions thoroughly.
  • Coverage details are subject to the terms and conditions specified in the policy issued to the policyholder.

Double Benefits for Critical Illness Coverage

The Company will double the maximum benefits for critical illness coverage once per illness, in accordance with the definitions of critical illnesses covered under this rider, as follows:

  1. Acute Heart Attack
  2. Major Stroke
  3. Coronary Artery By-Pass Surgery
  4. Invasive Cancer
  5. Major Organ Transplantation or Bone Marrow Transplantation
  6. Surgery to the Aortaa

Waiting Period of AIA Health Happy Rider

  1. Any illness occurring within 30 days from the effective date of this rider, or from the date on which the Company approves the additional benefits of this rider (whichever is later), is not covered.
  2. Any of the following illnesses occurring within 120 days from the effective date of this rider, or from the date on which the Company approves the additional benefits of this rider (whichever is later), are not covered:
  • All types of hernia
  • Pterygium or cataract
  • Tonsillectomy or adenoidectomy
  • Endometriosis

Partial Exclusions of AIA Health Happy Kids rider

  1. Conditions caused by congenital abnormalities, congenital organ or system defects, genetic disorders, or growth and developmental abnormalities.
  2. Aesthetic enhancement treatments, cosmetic surgery, or any treatments for skin beauty purposes.
  3. Pregnancy, miscarriage, abortion, childbirth, obstetric complications, infertility-related issues (including investigations and treatments), sterilization, and contraception.
